Disneyland 2010

As most of you know, Sara and myself (along with everyone else who lives with us) headed to California in the first week of Feb. to experience all Disneyland had to offer...and boy, did we!

Here are the highlights of the trip, as our camera recorded it all.

From left to right, this is Me, Sara, my niece Alexis (or Lulu as we call her), and my sister Barb. This was our first tram ride from the parking lot to the park. The first of many back and forth over the 4 days we were there.

This was Sara's favorite ride! We rode it almost every day we were there, and some days more than once. And yes, she always wanted to ride in the green one! LOL!

Sara loved meeting all the characters, and enjoyed this walk down Main Street she got to take with Chip. She shared her "binki" with him and had a wonderful time. We also meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Chip and Dale, the Mad Hatter, Alice, the White Rabbit, Captain Hook, Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Winnie the Pooh, Eoreye, Tigger, Aladdin, and I'm sure that I've forgotten someone since there were SO many.
Every night the kids hit the pillow, and were asleep instantly. On this trip Sara finally gave up napping because she didn't want to miss anything.
We took the kids to the Bibitti Bobitti Botique to have Princess (or Knight) hair done, body jewels put on, make up, and fairy dust (glitter, the herpes of art supplies). The girls got tiaras, bags, a wand, and had a great time. Brian ended up with a mohawk, complete with mickey shaped confetti in it and a sword and shield with his name on it. It was pricey, but the Fairy Godmothers In Training were awesome, and they all had a wonderful time. It was worth every penny!

Here is our family photo on the last day. Man we look tired! Everyone that went includes myself, Sara, Alexis (Lulu), Brian, my sister (Barb), my mom (Bonnie), and my stepdad (Ed).

Of course there are tons more photos then these. We took about 350 pics while we were there. Overall, it was a good time...exhausting, but good! All the kids loved it, and it was amazing to watch them explore this world and enjoy the true magic of Disney. I hope that I will be able to take Sara again in just a couple of years. You never know, it is the place where dreams come true!

A New Beginning...

So many of my friends and family have asked me to start a blog. Apparently only updating Sara's baby page once every 3 or 6 months with only 3 tiny pics isn't enough for them. And until now I have resisted them, and am still doing so in regards to Facebook!

But it has come to my attention, especially more so recently, that my baby isn't a baby any more. She grows so fast, and all of you are missing it because I don't update as much as a should. And worst of all, I feel like I'm missing it and I have her in my life almost every day. I swear I only brought my daughter home from the hospital a few months ago, but she turned 3 this year and I have no idea how it happened.

Life is flying by in all aspects of my life. I'm struggling to come to terms with how fast life is going by. Even when it felt like my life was completely on hold every time Sara was hospitalized, it still seemed to pass at warp speed while standing still all at the same time. How can that be?? I know I am not the only one experiencing this phenomenon. Maybe someone else can explain it to me.

Hopefully this blog will help us all to have a better idea of what is going on. For all of you, I hope that it will give you the pictures you want and a chance to read about the mundane things that happen in our life that you all, for some unknown reason to me, think are interesting. For me it will be a chance to look back and see that time really is passing, and that (hopefully) I am not really missing it as much as I think I am.

Watch out blogging world, this could be messy!
